Instructional Leadership

The primary goal of this course is to prepare students for principal role, for school leadership roles and for leadership of educational organizations. The course emphasizes the conceptual framework and skills, as well as the values and beliefs, which inform effective school and organizational leadership. Instructional leadership is about understanding how to implement improvements effectively, build collective efficacy during that implementation process, and work together with teachers and staff to build a focus on learning, to improve teaching strategies and increase student engagement.
