Establishment of CI

On Nov. 10^th, 2006, a signature ceremony was held in University of Saint Joseph between USJ and Hanban. Professor Rene Chamussy sj. President of USJ and Miss Liu xiang-hua, the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon signed the agreement for jointly setting up Confucius Institute at USJ. Confucius, for the first time arrives in Arabic world.

 2006年11月10日，中国驻黎巴嫩大使刘向华女士代表汉办与黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学校长René Chamussy sj.教授正式签署协议，建立圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院。

Launching Ceremony of CIUSJ

Feb.27^th,2007, Arabic countries’ first Confucius Institute at USJ was unveiled at USJ by His Excellency Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Liu Zhi-ming and His Excellency President of Shenyang Normal University Pr. Zhao Da-yu.

Professor Rene Chamussy sj. President of University of Saint-Joseph and Professor Zhao Da-yu, President of Shenyang Normal University signed the cooperation convention between two universities. 

2007年2月27日，时任我国驻黎巴嫩特命全权大使刘志明先生与沈阳师范大学校长赵大宇先生一道为孔子学院揭牌并启动运行。圣约瑟夫大学孔院成为阿拉伯国家第一所孔子学院。

中国沈阳师范大学与圣约瑟夫大学共同签署了《关于共建黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院的协议》

On Sep.18^th,2012,inauguration ceremony for the completion of Chinese Garden was launched in CI. Miss Xu Lin, Director of Hanban and Mr.Gaby Layoun, Minister of culture of Lebanon cut ribbon.

2012年9月18日，孔院举办中国花园开园典礼，许琳主任和黎巴嫩文化部长Gaby LAYOUN为中国花园剪彩。

On May 23^rd,2015, the first Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for foreign College Students Preliminary Round in Lebanon held successfully. 

2015年5月23日。首届黎巴嫩“汉语桥”大学生中文比赛在圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院成功举办。

On May 29^th,2016,celebration of 10^th anniversary of CIUSJ held in CI. Mr. Wang Ke-jian, Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Daccache, President of USJ, Mr. Li Tie-jun, Vice president of Shenyang Normal University, Mr.Adnan Karssa and Pro.Wang yi-wei with more than 200 people attended the event.

2016年9月29日，黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院成立10周年庆祝活动在圣约瑟夫大学人文校区圣皮埃尔剧场举行。中国驻黎巴嫩大使王克俭，黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学校长达卡什，沈阳师范大学副校长李铁君，法兰萨银行总裁阿德南·卡萨，人民大学王义桅教授以及黎巴嫩各界人士约200人出席庆祝活动。
