The USJ Choir will perform Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, under the direction of Yasmina Sabbah, on Tuesday, July 4 and Wednesday, July 5, at 8:30 PM, at Assembly Hall, AUB.

Missa Solemnis is Beethoven’s largest and longest composition, and yet at times, also one of his most intimate and personal. He inscribed in the manuscript: “From the heart—may it go to the heart!” As the aging and deaf composer increasingly withdrew from society, he created a musical testimony that is one of the supreme expressions of personal belief.

Join the USJ Choir, the JML orchestra in collaboration with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, along with renowned international soloists Bénédicte Tauran, Sofia Pavone, Bechara Moufarej and Alexandru Constantin, under the baton of Yasmina Sabbah, and witness what the legendary composer claims to be his “greatest achievement”.

Admission is free. No tickets or reservations needed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
