United States Department of State Leadership Institute is an academic program designed for foreign young promising Leaders to improve their understanding of the United States and to develop their leadership skills. The program included an academic residency consisting of interactive classroom activities, discussions, lectures, readings, site visits, and workshops; educational study tours to several regions of the United States (Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, etc.); leadership skills building activities; community service; and opportunities to interact with American peers on a college campus. The institute gathered 81 young talents coming from 22 different countries.
