It is aimed at developing the 4 skills of the students in general as well as academic English: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking, and writing. The students are exposed to academic reading texts that they should read and understand. As for the listening comprehension, students listen to a CD or watch a DVD while taking notes and afterwards answer vocabulary, comprehension, and opinion questions. The speaking skill of the students is developed through interactive speaking and listening exercises in class and individual oral presentations.
