The Institute of Business Administration (IGE) at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) has recently solidified its reputation as a major player in education through a fruitful collaboration with Alliance Lyfe, previously known as Paul Bocuse. This partnership, which has been ongoing since 2016, underscores IGE’s unwavering dedication to academic excellence.

On September 13, 2023, IGE hosted an extraordinary gastronomic soirée, graced by the presence of USJ Rector, Prof. Salim Daccache S.J., along with other esteemed dignitaries and partners of the Institute. The evening’s guest of honor was the renowned Michelin-starred chef, Davy Tissot. The meal, meticulously crafted by Chef Tissot and IGE’s own culinary virtuoso, Chadi Raad, was an exquisite fusion of expertise and culinary ingenuity. Notably, the dessert, a true masterpiece, was a creation by IGE pastry chef Charles Azar.

This splendid dinner provided a singular opportunity for IGE students to collaborate with world-class chefs, granting them access to the refined culinary arts and stellar excellence in an unforgettable manner. According to IGE Director Prof. Céline Saab, this experience allowed students to immerse themselves in the passion and talent that drive the world of gastronomy at its zenith.

On September 14, 2023, IGE orchestrated a seminar featuring Chefs Davy Tissot and Maxime Moise, the Strategic Partnerships Manager at Alliance Lyfe. Chef Tissot recounted his unique career journey, sharing invaluable insights and advice to guide students in their future careers.

IGE stands as a beacon of innovation across all its academic offerings, providing students with comprehensive theoretical and practical education that uniquely equips them for the demands of the professional world. This culinary experience marks the commencement of a series of initiatives within IGE’s fields of study, encompassing marketing and advertising, computer science for business, hospitality management, and culinary arts. Thus, the Institute continues to take a leading role in molding the future leaders and professionals of the industry.
