Ketfe Bi Ketfak story has started with the initiative of both USJ and AUB secular clubs to help families in need all over Lebanon. During the clubs' council meeting, upon their request and the proposition of the “Club Renaissance “, all USJ clubs and the Student Life Department decided to join the fight.
Upon the approval of the Rector Father Salim Daccache s.j., a call for volunteers and partnership was set: 80 volunteers of students and USJ staff gathered to start the mission.
After helping more than 1256 families in need, we aim to make this initiative sustainable. With your help, we hope forever.
As a community, we are facing a deeply distressing economic crisis. Therefore, USJ in mission (l’USJ en mission) has launched a project that consists of collecting food products as well as money in order to help families in need. Our goal is to help 250 families from all over Lebanon. With your help, we aim at sending one box per family every month till December 2020. Your contribution will help us go on with our humanitarian project, help the most deprived, save families in need, and offer a touch of joy and hope.
How were the families chosen?
The families were specifically chosen based on the two following factors: not having an income due to the current economic crisis and not receiving help from other NGOs.
What does the box contain?
In order to help lower-income families meet their monthly needs, the mission of this campaign aims at sending families a box containing the following 12 products: rice, sugar, salt, peas, spaghetti, tomato sauce, flour, lentils, fava beans, hummus, sardine and olive oil.
How can we help?
There are two different ways you can help :
1) Financially: we rely on your generous contribution to make the mission of this campaign a successful one. We have made this contribution possible through two different methods: a monthly payment of 50,000 L.L or a single donation that covers several months.
2) Physically: fill the volunteer form to be part of our team !
