MISSION

The Confucius Institute at Saint Joseph University (CIUSJ) was established in 2006 through an agreement between the Confucius Institute Headquarters and Saint Joseph University (USJ) in partnership with Shenyang Normal University. CIUSJ is the only government-accredited institute to teach Chinese language and culture in Lebanon.

The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), commonly known as the Chinese Proficiency Test, designed by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Center for Language Education and Cooperation).

The Confucius Institute is the only official center in Lebanon for the HSK, the only objective assessment of the level of Chinese language internationally.

School students can sit for the Youth Chinese Test (YCT).
