Incoming mobility - Procedures and deadlines

The International Relations Office is the contact point for international students who wish to study at USJ for a duration of one or two semesters through one of the following programs

Bilateral agreement

  • Check the list of USJ courses and Academic Calendar online
  • Download the incoming mobility form
  • Send the form signed by the home institution along with all required documents scanned by email to sri.mobilite@usj.edu.lb  within deadline.
  • Unless otherwise indicated in the bilateral agreements, students do not pay their tuition fees at USJ.
  • Students will be responsible for all costs related to their mobility in Lebanon (accommodation, insurance, visa, residency, etc.)

Deadline

  • Mid-May for the 1st semester and/or academic year
  • Mid-October for the 2nd semester

Erasmus + inter-institutional agreement (formerly Erasmus Mundus)

Contact the international relations office of the home university to check details and availability.

Free mover (in case of no bilateral agreement)

  • Check the list of USJ courses and Academic Calendar online
  • Download the incoming mobility form
  • Send the form signed by the home institution along with all required documents scanned by email to sri.mobilite@usj.edu.lb  within deadline.
  • Students pay full tuition fees at USJ.
  • Students will be responsible for all costs related to their mobility in Lebanon (accommodation, insurance, visa, residency, etc.)

Deadline

  • Mid-May for the 1st semester and/or academic year
  • Mid-May for the 2nd semester

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Codes: 1st semester courses end with L1, L3, L5 (BSc) and M1, M3 (MSc) while 2nd semester courses end with L2, L4, L6 (BSc) and M2, M4 (MSc).
  • Unless specified in the inter-university agreement, incoming international students can take courses in different faculties but the majority of their courses should be related to one main faculty.
  • The learning agreement should be finalized upon arrival and will have to be sent to the Home University for approval.
  • The language of instruction at USJ is French. Few courses are in Arabic or English depending on the field of study.
  • An acceptance letter will be sent after receipt of the complete application and upon approval of the host faculty at USJ.
  • At the end of their stay, incoming students will get a transcript of records. No degree will be delivered by USJ to international exchange students.
