The Department of Social Services welcomes any student facing difficulties of a financial, personal or other nature, who wishes to be heard and assisted for difficulties encountered during their studies.

The Department provides students with tailored assistance in strict respect of their privacy and the confidentiality of interviews and promotes accessibility to the university for all admitted candidates. It assesses their needs by giving them individual assistance and financial support suited to their situation.

Some students plan the funding of their studies before they are admitted or registered. They can apply for assistance to find out about the possibilities of financial support, and receive a solution based on their own family situation.

When facing financial difficulties, there are several possibilities:
• Social grants,
• Bank loans for which interests are covered by USJ,
• Free tuition deferment spread across several months of the academic year.

Granted on all Bachelor, Master and Doctorate programs, the financial aid, is need-based, and takes into account the family's social criteria and resources.
