Pierre NAJEM

Teacher of Spanish (since 1998) and Spanish/Arabic translation (since 2006), he was Head of the Spanish Section at the Institute of Languages ​​and Translation (2001-2009) and Director of the Student Information and Orientation Office (2009-2018). He is currently Director of Admissions at the Vice-Rectorate for Academic Affairs. 

Holder of a Ph.D. in Translation Studies, his research themes are focused on translation pedagogy, in particular Competence-Based Training (CBT) applied to the teaching of translation and translational competence.

He has several publications and is part of the team of reviewers for the Folios journal (Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Bogotá, Colombia).

 Also a graduate of the Escuela de Traductores de Toledo – Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), he has published several translations from and into Spanish: El Testamento (Al Wasaya) by Mohammad Mehdi Shamseddin at the Presses de l'Université Saint-Joseph – Dar an- Nahar (2008), and Al Kursán Abú Aryán, (El Pirata Garrapata) (9 volumes) by Juan Muñoz Martín, published by Dar Al-Majani (2003).
