PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE • Rector’s Delegate for Quality Assurance University Pedagogy, Saint-Joseph University in Beirut (Université Saint- Joseph de Beyrouth, USJ), since September 2015. • Dean of the Faculty of Educational Science at USJ (2004-2012). Honorary Dean of the Faculty since 2012. • Higher Education Reform Expert (HERE) for the European Union, since 2015. • Expert for European assessment agencies, since 2012: - Chaired several assessment committees in Belgium for the Belgian Agency for Higher Education Quality Assessment (AEQES) - Participated, as an expert, in the assessment of universities in France: for the High Coun-cil for Evaluation of Research Higher Education (HCERES) - Participated, as an expert, in the assessment of universities in Switzerland: for the Swiss Agency of Quality Assurance (AAQ) • Rector’s University Pedagogy Officer, USJ, 2012-2015. • Professor at USJ: Faculty of Educational Science (since 2002, when the Faculty was founded) at the Lebanese Institute for Educators (since 1989). • In charge of the continuing education of professors at the Lebanese Institute for Educators: designing, organizing, leading training sessions for professors during service (1995-2001). • Coordinator of several national, regional, international symposiums on educational issues. • Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences, Lebanese University (1984-1988). • Researcher at the Center for Linguistic Pedagogical Studies (1982-1983). COMMITMENTS IN NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS • Member of the joint ILO-UNESCO Committee of Experts on the Application of the Recommendations concerning Teaching Personnel (CEART) Chair 2012-2018. • Member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Universities Association of Lebanon. • Member of the Quality Assurance Committee, AUF (Francophonie University Agency) and Ministry of Ed-ucation and Higher Education, 2016-2018. • Member of the UNESCO National Commission (appointed by the Minister of Culture and Higher Educa-tion) 2000-2005. • Member of the International Association of University Pedagogy, AIPU. Founding member of the Leba-nese branch. • Member of the International Network for Excellence in Higher Education, NEHE. • Member of the Association for the Development of Assessment Methodologies in Education, ADMEE. Founding member of the Lebanese branch. • Member of the International Francophone Network of Training of Trainer Institutions (RIFEFF), 2005-2012. • Founding member of the Observatory of Education for Citizenship, 2009. • Member of the Lebanese Association for Education Studies (Secretary-General between 1999-2002).
