Department of Preparatory Classes

The Department of Preparatory Classes is dedicated to teaching students the basic scientific concepts necessary to engage in the specialization options. Programs and training After completing their Baccalaureate, students enter one of the programs of the Department of Preparatory Classes. The courses correspond to 120 ECTS credits. The Department of Preparatory Classes offers eight programs: Preparatory Classes in Electrical Engineering prepare students to enter the Department of Electricity and Mechanics in the Electrical Engineering Program with two specialization options: Industrial Systems Electromechanics Preparatory Classes in Computer and Communications Engineering prepare students to enter the Department of Electricity and Mechanics in the Computer and Communications Engineering Program with two specialization options: Software Engineering Telecommunications Network Preparatory Classes in Civil Engineering and Environment prepare students to enter the Department of Civil Engineering and Environment with three specialization options: Buildings and Industrial Engineering Water and Environment Public Works and Transport Preparatory Classes in Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering prepare students to follow the Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering program run by the Department of Civil Engineering and Environment. Preparatory Classes in Electrical Engineering (Competitive Examination Section) prepare students to sit the entrance exams to the French Grandes Ecoles and (in case they do not pass the exams) to enter the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Electrical Engineering Program with two specialization options: Industrial Systems Electromechanics Preparatory Classes in Computer and Communications Engineering (Competitive Examination Section) prepare students to sit the entrance exams to the French Grandes Ecoles and (in case they do not pass the exams) to enter the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Computer and Communications Engineering Program with two specialization options: Software Engineering Telecommunications Network Preparatory Classes in Civil Engineering and Environment (Competitive Examination Section) prepare students to sit the competitive entrance exams to the French Grandes Ecoles and (in case they do not pass the exams) to join the Department of Civil Engineering and Environment with three specialization options: Buildings and Industrial Engineering Water and Environment Public Works and Transport Preparatory Classes in Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering (Competitive Examination Section) prepare students to enter the Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Programme run by the Department of Civil Engineering and Environment. Opportunities The Department of Preparatory Classes allows students, after two years, to continue their studies in the departments of specialization: Department of Civil Engineering and Environment (corresponding to 180 ECTS credits) or Department of Electricity and Mechanics (corresponding to 180 ECTS credits).
