Department of Electricity and Mechanics

The Department of Electricity and Mechanics is a unit of the School of Engineering in Beirut. Its mission is to provide its students with an academic framework that promotes learning. The main activities of the Department include teaching, academic follow-up and coordination of the students' studies. It sets the guidelines and activities aimed at implementing the pedagogical strategy of the Faculty of Engineering. Programs and training After two years of study in the Department of Preparatory Classes and the validation of the corresponding 120 credits, students integrate one of the programs of the Department of Electricity and Mechanics. The courses correspond to 180 ECTS credits and at the end of the program, an engineering degree will be awarded. The Department of Electricity and Mechanics offers two programs: The Electrical Engineering Program with two specialization options: Industrial Systems Electromechanics The Computer and Communications Engineering Program with two specialization options: Software Engineering Telecommunications Network Opportunities Thanks to a general scientific education and diversified specialties, graduates are appreciated by the job market. They gain access to stable employment in the first few months after graduation and have good prospects for advancement to positions of responsibility. Many are offered employment contracts even before graduation.
