Gilbert Ghostine elected president of SGS

Gilbert Ghostine (FGM, 1982) has been elected Chairman of SGS S.A., a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification, operating in over 100 countries with nearly 100,000 employees and 2,800 offices and laboratories worldwide. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) since 2022.

An alumnus of USJ Business School (FGM), he holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Management and a Master’s in Marketing from the same institution. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

With nearly four decades of international leadership experience, he is recognized for driving sustainable growth and leading large-scale transformation across complex global environments. His career spans senior executive roles in the construction, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), fragrances and flavors, and pharmaceutical industries, with professional experience across four continents.
