In From Exile to Renewal, Sanaa Aoun (ESTS, 1982) looks back on the defining moments of her life, starting with the forced displacement she experienced in Damour, her hometown.The result of a long personal journey, this narrative bears witness to resilience, faith, and the power of human support in turning pain into strength. Published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Damour massacre, the book recalls both the collective and personal trials linked to this historic event.

A dedicated social worker and a 1982 graduate of the USJ School of Social Work (ESTS), Sanaa Aoun devoted more than 35 years of her career to supporting the most vulnerable members of society.
