Over the past five years, Lebanon has faced successive hardships, leaving deep scars in our collective memory. Yet, each challenge has been met with unwavering resilience. As we remember the victims of this war, we stand in solidarity with the countless refugees who continue their journey with dignity. Initiatives such as Opération 7e Jour, USJ Campus Ministry, Al Mazeed, and SVE are already mobilized, providing vital support.

In times of turmoil and uncertainty, the words of educator Paulo Freire resonate: “Where there is life, there is incompleteness.” As we mark 150 years of our University, we reaffirm our commitment to education and the relentless pursuit of progress. As our esteemed alumnus Albert Kostanian wisely noted, this milestone is a call to “stand firm in our mission”, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
