Here is what to expect:

Weekly Rehearsals

The USJ Choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings, from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm at USJ, Campus des Sciences Medicales (CSM) - Ashrafie. There are some additional rehearsals throughout the semester, and intensive rehearsals during the last week leading to the concert (the extra rehearsals are scheduled in the evenings or on weekends, outside of regular working hours). Your commitment and regular attendance at rehearsals is key to maintaining our high standards.

Individual Practice

Every week, the director will assign a movement to prepare and learn individually at home. If you do not read music: that’s totally fine! You will have a rehearsal track (which is basically a recording of your voice part sung) that you can play in your car, at the gym and wherever you are to learn the music, as well as an accompaniment track to practice singing with the music accompaniment! Coming prepared to rehearsal enriches your enjoyment of the music and builds your confidence! It also makes the rehearsals faster, more efficient and rewarding!

Performances

The Choir usually prepares two major concert productions per year, in December and in Spring. The Choir (in full or in smaller formations) also participates in several festivals, events and performances throughout the year.
