Jesus the Teacher – No. 1

Dunia Moukaddam

Is the Gospel a foundational text for educational theory and practice? Do contemporary pedagogical principles find resonance in the teachings of the revered figure known as “Master”? Before Jesus, philosophies of life and teaching existed, woven into the fabric of human history and rooted in existential reflections. Yet, with His advent, a new dawn emerged. Teaching became imbued with His essence.

Personalized instruction, community engagement, differentiation, active learning, interactivity, and support—these are not just modern educational buzzwords but echo the teachings of a Master who walked the earth two millennia ago. Concepts like freedom, empathy, respect, and tolerance, central in today’s pedagogy, find their roots in His timeless wisdom.

It’s as if our pedagogical wellspring flows from Him, inviting us to reevaluate and reconstruct educational frameworks. Thus, the journey unfolds: to decipher and rebuild, drawing inspiration from His teachings.
